New Belgium Brewing has demonstrated a long-time commitment and passion for the outdoors, environment, land stewardship and mountain biking and is a 100% employee owned company. A few excerpts from their website:

NEW BELGIUM IS RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF THE MOST INNOVATIVE BUSINESS MODELS IN AMERICA. OUR 100% EMPLOYEE-OWNED COMPANY IS DRIVEN BY A DIFFERENT METRIC FOR SUCCESS: OUR ABILITY TO CREATE VALUE FOR ALL SHAREHOLDERS, INCLUDING EMPLOYEES, THEIR COMMUNITIES AND OUR PLANET.

We do one thing – make great beer – and we do it with pride. We believe in the true idea of craft, a set of skills honed over time. Quality and craftsmanship demand expert workers who feel passionate about what they make. That’s who we are and what we always aim to be.

Employee ownership creates shared wealth and an entrepreneurial mindset, what we call “owning your shit.” When the business does well, all our co-workers realize the returns as owners, not just C-suite executives like most companies.

New Belgium strives to be a role model for other businesses in its impact on the communities we serve and our planet itself. We are a certified B Corp and have been a leading force in improving environmental standards in brewing.
