Howdy,
Mother Nature has finally put her foot down. I went out to evaluate the soil today in the Paxtang Parkway. I guess due to the amount of moisture over the past weeks the ground is well frozen making bench cutting and compaction difficult. More arctic air is forecast for next week as well. I would expect to resume regular work days near the end of Feb. or beginning of March.
With that being said we still have several small projects that can be completed in the meantime. These projects include:
Trash removal
Corridor clearing
Collection of rocks for retaining wall and armoring
and more.
If you’d like to help with these tasks please contact me here to arrange times.

Also, a HUGE “Thank You” goes out to the dozens of volunteers that have sacrificed their valuable time to make a contribution to this project. Well over 500 hours have been logged so far and work is about 40% complete. With good participation in the Spring we may be able to open officially by June.
Stay warm and see you at the SAMBA Winter Party/ Fundraiser @ Paxtang Grill on Feb. 21.
