The Board of Directors of the Clarence Schock Foundation / Governor Dick Tails voted unanimously to remove the “probationary status” from mountain biking at Governor Dick.
In August, SAMBA and the Board of Directors of the Clarence Schock Foundation / Governor Dick signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding our commitments as partners. This is the first MOU that the park has ever signed with a user group. It was this MOU that allowed us to accomplish all that we have this past weekend and the past few months.
Night riding at Governor Dick will continue to be permitted on Thursday evenings from November – March until 9pm (starting November 5 th this year). Helmets and lights are required; more than one rider is HIGHLY recommended.
It is imperative that we continue to be excellent partners with the Park by following all the rules, including not riding the hiking-only trails.
