While we have all been out riding and enjoying the trails SAMBA has been hard at work behind the scenes to make this happen. To continue this fabulous progress SAMBA needs YOUR help!  We are in need of members who are interested in filling the following positions on the SAMBA board and committees!  

Please review the committees below that could use your help and let us know which interest you. Nominations will be accepted at the Winter Party on 2/8/2020  and also on the SAMBABIKER.COM website, click on Contact and submit your nominations through March 15th.

If the below committees aren’t really your “thing”, just let us know what your area of interest / expertise is and we can find a way to utilize you.

 

 

Public Relations (Need a PR Director & Committee members)

Mission Statement: The mission of the Public Relations committee is to expand awareness of the chapter via promotional material and public outreach by:

  • Manage promotional materials, bike shop items and soft goods inventory
  • Promote and represent club at events as needed
  • Coordinate non-event fundraisers, donations and sponsorship’s
  • Coordinate outreach opportunities
  • Work with local businesses and non-profits to partner and support cycling
  • Other tasks upon request from the Board

 

General guidelines

  • Committees should meet a minimum of 2 times a year.
  • Committees are required to submit a project request for Board approval before proceeding.
  • Committee members must be current SAMBA Members.
  • Committee members shall adhere to SAMBA’s Bylaws.
  • Remember to keep it friendly and have fun!

 

 

Communications (Need committee members)

Mission Statement: The mission of the Communications committee is to expand awareness of chapter activities through effective use of all approved media outlets by:

  • Generate effective Chapter communications through approved media
  • Maintain SAMBA’s website and Facebook
  • Communicate and promote club activities through bike shops
  • Coordinate membership drives and help grow membership
  • Provide and post event articles and supply event pictures and video for use on the website, social media, and email newsletters.
  • Help compose email communications for members if needed
  • Other tasks upon request from the Board

 

SAMBA Approved Media

  • Committees are required to submit a project request for Board approval before proceeding.
  • Committee members must be current SAMBA members.
  • Committee members shall adhere to SAMBA’s by-laws.

 Events/Activities (Need day-of volunteers for events)

Mission Statement: The mission of the Events/ Activities committee is to plan and coordinate club activities by:

  • Plan, organize and execute one (1) minimum annual general membership meeting
  • Plan, organize and execute anchor events including Dirtfest camp site, Annual BASH and Winter Party Fundraisers and special events such as demo days or Trail openings
  • Establish event budgets and explore ways to improve our events
  • Help plan and schedule road trips, rides and leaders if needed
  • Other tasks upon request from the Board
