This volunteer is responsible for coordinating fund raising efforts to ensure we meet our financial goals that will allow us to hire a professional contractor to rebuild and pave the pump track at Coleman Memorial Park. This individual should be able to help volunteers solicit donations from community businesses, local municipalities and other non-profits using email, in-person visits and/or mailings. The fundraising coordinator will oversee online fundraising mechanisms such as Facebook fundraisers, GoFundMe, online auctions, social media posts and also work to help submit local grant applications working with SAMBA’s Board of Directors, Communications team and Trail Directors. OBJECTIVES:
- Work with team of volunteers to develop fundraising strategies and implement
- Set incremental goals and communicate progress
- Coordinate community donation and solicitation campaign
- Work with Events team to coordinate fundraising event(s)
- Submit updates to Board for monthly meeting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Realistic time commitment/availability for position needs
- Previous fundraising experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with team to communicate effectively on behalf of SAMBA
