Hello SAMBA,

With the snow melting and the weather warming up I just want to pass on a few messages.

TRAIL CONDITIONS

All areas are going to need at least a week or more of dry weather conditions to dry out the trails; even places that traditionally drain well. So we are asking people to keep the rubber off the trails until conditions improve. Trails dry slower in the winter than they do in the warmer months; please do your part to help preserve the trails!

Trails to avoid: any natural surface (dirt) trails

Alternatives: Improved (stone) trails: Lebanon Valley Rail Trails, and Stony Valley Rail Trail, Fire roads at Weiser State Forest. Road bike.

Tuesday Night Rides: CANCELED

General Rule of Thumb: If the shady part of your yard is squishy; avoid the trails. Once in the park; if you are leaving heavy tracks please turn back.

We will keep you posted as conditions improve. Once they do trail work days will be announced to address any trail issue if needed.

SAMBA WINTER PARTY REPORT

It was a great night of bikes, beers and friends coming together to celebrate mountain biking last Sunday in Harrisburg.

Our first annual Winter Party was a big success for the club. We welcomed more than 70 partygoers and managed to raise some funds for the club through our raffle. Click here to read more and pictures.
