SAMBA announces 2019 ride calendar

We are proud to finally announce that we have established a monthly ride schedule for the entire 2019 riding season! We plan to host a ride each weekend starting in April and running through November. Of course some rides may be relocated, cancelled or rescheduled.  We also plan to continue our night rides at Governor Dick and Swatara in the Fall and and add some new night rides along the way. Here’s the basic plan: Camp Mack: First Sunday every month Parkway Trails: Second Saturday every month Weiser State Forest (Rattling Creek): Third weekend every month HMC Trails: Fourth Saturday every month All rides will be created as recurring Facebook events and also appear on our website calendar! SAMBA Winter Party and Fundraiser

There are really BIG and EXCITING projects in the works. Find out more by joining us at the Winter Party & Fundraiser on Saturday, February 9th, 4pm at the Fire Hall in Mount Gretna. Huge raffle, beer, fabulous food, music & more! Rides will begin at 2pm.  Please inform anyone that may be interested.       While we have all been out riding and enjoying the trails SAMBA has been hard at work behind the scenes to make this happen. To continue this fabulous progress SAMBA needs YOUR help!  We are in need of members who are interested in filling the following positions on the SAMBA board and committees!   Please review the committees below that could use your help and let us know which interest you. Nominations will be accepted at the Winter Party on 2/9/19  and also on the SAMBABIKER.COM website, click on Contact and submit your nominations through March 15th. HMC Grand Opening! 10/13/2018 postponed to 10/14/18

GRAND OPENING DAY! Please join us for the Opening Day of the PSU-Milton S. Hershey Medical Center (HMC) Trail System this Saturday! Be among the first to ride 10 miles of sweet new single track in Hershey! Join us at the Cocoa Beanery across the street for an after party celebration from 3-5. Post-ride food, beer, coffee etc available from 1-5. Please access the Medical Center via Life Lion Dr. at Bullfrog Valley rd and do not use the main entrances along Rt. 322. SAMBA’s Winter Party and Fundraiser

Please join us for our annual Winter Party, ride and fundraiser. We are joining forces with Mount Gretna Craft Brewery and Leed’s Cyclery for this year’s event. Weather and trail conditions permitting rides will start at noon. Party starts at 2, Live music by Dave Heilman around 4 followed by an awesome raffle and then more tunes. SAMBA Fall 2017 Bash at Rattling Creek September 7th – 10th

If you have the passion, dedication and skills to help with these positions please be sure that you are nominated. Nominators  and nominees must both be members in good standing of the Susquehanna Area Mountain Bike Association. Nominations close March 15.
