SAMBA is PROUD to announce, “Hershey Medical Center trail work to begin this Sunday, March 18th!”

Be part of SAMBA’s newest project and join us for the inaugural work day this Sunday, March 18 from 10:00am to 2:00pm! If you’re interested in bulding trails for this first work day which will consist mostly of cutting brush and clearing leaves email Hersheytrail@gmail.com. We will meet on Reservoir Road behind the Med Center. Take Life Lion Drive to Meadow Wood Rd to Reservoir Road. Park on the gravel lot past the construction trailers....

SAMBA’s Winter Party and Fundraiser

Please join us for our annual Winter Party, ride and fundraiser. We are joining forces with Mount Gretna Craft Brewery and Leed’s Cyclery for this year’s event. Weather and trail conditions permitting rides will start at noon. Party starts at 2, Live music by Dave Heilman around 4 followed by an awesome raffle and then more tunes. Full menu and bar will be available. Donation requested, t-shirts, SAMBA coffee and raffle tickets available at the event. Find out more about SAMBA’s projects and ways to volunteer!!! Swatara night ride scheduled on 12/5/2017 Cancelled due to inclement weather

Due to rain being forecast for Tuesday December 5th, the ride scheduled for 6PM at Swatara State Park will be cancelled.  Night rides will continue next Tuesday, December 12th and continue each Tuesday through March pending trail conditions.  Please monitor our SAMBA Facebook feed for updates regarding ride status.  Please remember, during night rides at Swatara State Park, park regulations require all riders to  check in with a SAMBA approved group ride leader.  All riders must sign a SAMBA waiver at the beginning of each ride and must wear a helmet.  State park regulations forbid anybody from riding alone after dusk and forbid alcoholic beverages in Swatara State...

PAXTANG PARK PROJECT

Paxtang Park Project underway! We are excited to announce that we have reached an agreement with the City of Harrisburg (land owner), Swatara Township and Paxtang Borough (owners of the roads approaching the park), and CAGA to partner to
begin work to restore historic Paxtang Park to be used as a parking, trailhead and picnic area for visiting cyclists using the Capital Area Greenbelt and Parkway Trail System.
